This update for the System Update scheduler may also work with other systems that meet the system requirements. However, no testing has been done with other systems and no support is provided for using this hotfix package on any system other than those listed as a "Supported system."

The following operating systems are supported:

• Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
• Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later

• This update checks the date and time of the users' scheduler settings. If the scheduled time is 11A.M. on the 1st day of each month, this update uses an algorithm to reset the scheduler settings to request updates from the Lenovo servers when network traffic is not at its peak.
  
  

1. Click the file links to download the files from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files.
   
   

1. Click Start, then click Start Search.
2. Type randomscheduler.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the randomscheduler.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
   
   

1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
2. Type randomscheduler.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the randomscheduler.exe icon.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
